Born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, Tania grew up with parents who planted the seeds of Christianity and impressed on her the importance of a church life.  They also gave her an acoustic guitar for Christmas when she was 14 years old.  In the late 80's, she sang with a couple dance bands; Star Cross & Hot Ice, and had her first taste of live performing, writing and recording.

After marrying her husband Randy and they settled in Rockford, Illinois.  After an enlightening and joyous retreat weekend, Tania picked up the guitar, dusted it off and started playing again.  It wasn't long before she found she had songs in her and started to write about life, Bible teachings, and the incredible love and grace of God.

Tania sang with the band PHM in 2010 while writing and recording of her own songs.  December of 2011, Tania's Christmas song "Away in a manger/Sweet Dreams" was a featured song on a Los Angeles indie music venue's "Radio Cafe's Christmas Special" and included an on-air interview.

In early 2012, Tania released her first album "Soul Addiction" as a fund raiser for the Rockford Rescue Mission's Women's Life Recovery Program.  Fierce Youth Outreach (a Gang intervention organization) included the single "Soul Addiction" in their compilation CD titled "In His Hands", and in June Tania became a BMI artist.

Tania Nicholson 2013 IMC award

April 28th, 2013 she won the Best Contemporary Christian Demo for her song "Carrie Cries" which is the story of an abused woman and her path to Jesus' love.  Attending the awards ceremony in Hollywood, CA at the House of Blues Foundation Room was an affirming experience.  The song was included on the 2013 Indie Music Channel Awards Edition CD.  Summer brought a calling from the Holy Spirit to leave P-H-M and begin to focus solely on her own music ministry.

Fall 2013 brought Tania's new release, "Black & White" a nine song EP that was released in conjunction with Tania's first book, "Black & White The 30-Day Devotional".  In November a charity opportunity presented itself and Tania donated the song, "No Place Like Home" for use on the "Will Sing For Food" album to benefit the Rock River Valley Food Pantry.

The 23rd AnnuaRAMI Award 2014 Tania Nicholsonl RAMI (Rockford Area Music Industry) Awards presented Tania with the 2014 Best Christian/Gospel Artist Award.  It was a special honor to be recognized by her peers in the Greater Rockford area.

Currently she is touring the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin Christian coffee house circuit, and playing at festivals and church events.   She has also developed a music ministry that walks the listener through some of the most difficult times in her life.  She shares her weaknesses, failures and human frailty while showing how God; in His amazing grace, heals, transforms and restores.

Fall of 2018, Tania started a second venture in music - Tender Notions.  There are so many great songs out there, the kind you can't help singing along with because the touch you heart or take you back in time.  Songs by Sarah McLachlan, Fleetwood Mac, Janis Ian, Carol King and others whose music has become iconic.
