Story

I wrote this song for all the Bible believing Christians out there.  The world may want to twist and change what was written, but we know... God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and His Word came into being as He would have it.

Story

I wrote this song for a women's conference I was asked to provide music for.  Their theme was "No Place Like Home" and my mind immediately took me to the stark contrast of this earth and where we will spend eternity.  This broken world is just a stop on the journey and we seem to inherently know this because we can't ever come to grips with the death, pain and hurt here.

Have you ever thought about how often the dove is mentioned in the Bible?  It's used in many ways to symbolize many things, from the Holy Spirit, to you and I.  This song explores the attributes of the Biblical dove and her uses.

Story

Do you remember a simpler, more innocent time in America?  Remember when children actually sang Christmas songs at Christmas and said their prayers before going to sleep?  This song is a prayer for those values to come back to this land.  Our children need our help right now; they live in such a violent and hyper-sexual world.  We need to bring God back to their daily lives.

Story

Working in a Christian ministry with women who are in addiction recovery, allows me to hear some heart breaking testimonies.  It is amazing to hear about what some of these women have been through and how low they have been. Then to see them completely turn around by the grace of God's love is nothing short of miraculous.  This song takes the listener from abusive beginnings, through the justice system and to God's love and redemption.

Story

This song is a musical thank you to all the Christian music venues and coffeehouses.  These places are almost always run on donations and seek to help local people who are in need.  They allow people like me who truly feel called to share the Gospel through music a place to share our gifts, and they do it with little or no compensation for themselves.

Story

This song is based on 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  I wrote it for a friend who needed a song for a retreat weekend and this was the scripture she had chosen as her theme verse.  It is an anthem of conviction that no matter what our past, we can claim victory through our God and live in peace.

Alexander Means, William Walker, Tania Nicholson

Story

A friend suggested I do this hymn.  It's an old American folk hymn whose lyrics are attributed to Alexander Means and music to William Walker.  After listening to it, I knew I wanted to do something with a tribal or nomadic feel and I definitely give a hat tip to Michelle Tumes version.  As I prayed on how to present it, I kept hearing the word "Yeshua".  That's all I ever got as a leading from the Holy Spirit, just "Yeshua" again and again.  So I wrote the Hebrew spoken word used between the verses and included the English translation, because  a listener can't stand in agreement if he/she doesn't know what's being said.

Did You Know?

Christian venues often can not afford to pay artists to come minister and there are many cost associated with travel, instruments, PA, and CD creation. Please support your local Christian artists and venues.  Thank you.
